About the Artist
CJ Worlein is a native of the Pacific Northwest and an award-winning artist who works in the fine art medium of colored pencil.
She specializes in portraits, and strives to capture not only the likeness of her subjects, but their personality and character as well. To her, as the proverb says, the eyes are truly the window to the soul. She often receives comments that the subjects in her paintings look as though they will move and speak at any moment.
CJ is a signature member of the national Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) and has served as its corporate image director since 2013. She was membership director for the society from 2011 to 2013.
She also served as president of the CPSA Portland District Chapter 201 from 2008 to 2011, was its webmaster from 2006 until 2013, and its membership director from 2010 to 2018.
